The NSW Rape Crisis Centre has developed a Private Therapists Referral Database. NSW Rape Crisis Centre provides a 24-hour, statewide telephone crisis intervention, support, counselling and referral service to women who have experienced sexual violence. Many people who access our service are referred to Private Therapists. Client issues may include childhood sexual assault, mental health and drug and alcohol issues. If you have experience working with survivors of sexual violence and would like to become part of our database, please fill in the data collection form, and mail it back to us. Callers seeking referral will usually be given information about three therapists for their local area. Registration is free. Please include a photocopy of relevant documents, such as your qualification(s) or membership(s). It would also be greatly appreciated if you could pass the data collection form onto other appropriate therapists in your area who may be interested in registering in our Private Therapists Referral database. Therapists from non-metropolitan, rural and remote areas or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to register.
